Die Rietdak
The thatched house was extensively renovated from early 2021 to mid 2022 with great passion for detail. Today, the spacious villa with extensive garden presents itself in excellent condition. Its high-quality features, stylish kitchen, modern bathrooms and tasteful furnishings provide a luxurious but authentic living atmosphere.
Plenty of living space
Two living rooms, four bedrooms, four bathrooms and an open kitchen with adjoining dining area offer a family or a small travel group of up to eight people enough space for a relaxing stay.
The eye-catcher in the large garden is the 8 x 4 m swimming pool. Our guests also like to relax on the two terraces and two balconies from morning to night. The lapa, a kind of thatched pergola, offers protection from the sun. Dinner with South African specialities can be enjoyed al fresco air or on one of the terraces.
There are two garages for up to three vehicles on the property.
Sustainable building services
With the recently installed photovoltaic system, we generate the energy we need in a self-sufficient and sustainable way. Our own borehole supplies the house and its guests with fresh and clear water (drinking water quality) at all times.
Security to feel good
The house and grounds are, as is customary in South Africa, secured against unwanted visitors, without this affecting the quality of stay of our guests.
